About Me

Air-combat flight deck simulation
I am a fun-loving, 20-something, adventure seeker who is just trying to figure out life. I make mistakes.  I do things I regret.  But most of the time, I love life.  Despite mistakes, regrets, and sometimes bad decisions, I've had some pretty awesome times- if you hang around,  I'll tell you about some of them

Rode a bike across the GGB!
I have a great family.  My sister is one of my favorite people in the world.  She and I will go head-to-head  and fight like the world is about to end- but 3 minutes later, we're mocking each other, quoting Bridesmaids, and laughing our asses off.  She's in the middle of a life-transition and is relocating from LA to North Carolina.  Good luck, Sister.  You can follow her adventure here.

Clearly we hare half-retarded sometimes

I am about away from graduating with my Master's degree.  But who's counting??  It will be so nice to be finished.  I have no idea what I'm going to do with all my free time...

Oh wait, yes I do!  I'm going to be learning programming and coding languages, of course!  I recently started a new job in IT and- while I have a lot of functional knowledge that is proving to be very valuable- I do lack some of the technical skills that will help me be successful.

Another interesting thing about me, that will likely come up here at some point- a few months ago, for health reasons, I decided to become a vegetarian.  I rocked at it for about 13 seconds.  Jokes.  I did a bit better than that, but I wasn't able to sustain it for too long.  I think it lasted about 2 months.  Let's be honest, I didn't give up meat because I didn't like the way it tasted.  So I added an occasional chicken breast back in.  Then I added a pulled pork sandwich at a BBQ place.  Then it was a few meatballs on spaghetti or meat sauce on my lasagna.  Most recently, I actually at a hot dog at a baseball game (something I regretted for about 3 days- my poor tummy!)  I'm in a place where I want to give it a try again.  I'm not going to say I'll never eat meat again- but my goal is to sub in other lean proteins for animal protein in anything I cook at home.  I will also try to keep my meat intake to a couple times a week, at most, if I eat out.  Should be a bit of an adventure as I learn new and exciting recipes!  Wish me luck!

I'll also preface this with: I have no idea what I'm doing.  I might be the worst blogger ever.  But it's all part of the adventure I call life.  So, I'm gonna jump in and post about things that are important to me.  Maybe someone somewhere will appreciate it.  Welcome to Perfectly Persistent!
